It is also peeling off on the surf side. I am tired of seeing 'e' indented on my foot
IMO the gator grip on the surf platform would be too soft. I am all about the gator grip as a transom saver and it has worked wonders on our boat but I think that the fins on the bottom of wakeboards would cut through the gator grip quite easily.
Unless of course you don't ever stand on your platform with anything sharp. Then it might be fine.
If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..
That stuff looks pretty cool. I wonder if they make a red?
I might just have to go with that stuff. Mike I like your idea too with the clear mask, but I don't know if I will be able to get all of the scuffs out.
I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!
Scoot we have the same boat as you and we put a 4" strip of gator grip along the transom. It has saved the transom countless times. we have no wear on our transom thanks to the gator grip.
You wouldn't happen to have a pic of that would you?
Your transom is black, and the black mat would blend in well on your boat, but with mine being red, the only two color choices I have is the all black or black and grey, which really wouldn't be any different than the tige` mat I guess. I was just wanting to try and blend it in as if it was supposed to be there all along. If you have a pic I would like to see it.
Thanks,

They do not have red. For some reason it was a color that faded and ended up being pink

Thanks,
let me see if I can find a pic. If not I'll take one and post it up asap.

Not sure but you can ask him. He is a great person to deal with and will tell you where to get some in the colors that you like. He might even have the color you want even.

Yeah, when I did mine, pulled the platform so I could get in there with a buffer. I started with a mild compound and a course pad, then some swirl remover, next I switched to a fine pad and 3M Finesse then cleaned the pad and hit it with some polish. After applying the film, I then waxed the hole transom.
Here's the after, before the mask:
