Gotta question about the platform mat and possibly using it to help me with my transom abuse. The back of the boat is really taking a beating from wakeboard edges. I have many many scuffs in the gelcoat from board edge impacts. As much as we try to be careful, they just continue to increase in numbers. During the winter I am going to remove the platform and try to compound out most of them, but looking forward I had an idea and I thought I would share it with you guys to see what you think. I am wondering if I can buy a replacement platform mat, the one with all of the little e`s in it. Take that mat and try to nicely trim it to fit on the transom between the tige logo and swim platform. Not real sure how goofy it would look, curious if anyone else has done this before. I have seen a few threads with a thick clear film that is put on the back, which would probably look better because it doesn't cover up the boat color. However, if I can't get all of the scuffs out, it will still an eyesore. I have got my boys trained on how to keep the boards away from the transom, but all of their newbie friends, don't have a clue... very careless and not very stable once a board is on their feet . I have gone beyond frustrated and looking for a robust fix or alternative. What do you think. See the pic below, excuse the crude artwork.

Here is a thread that talks about the clear mask stuff, I might do it as I have personally surfed into the back of the boat a couple times and added a few good dings.

"I have never, ever done that...." get a little excited, distracted talking to peeps in the boat and before you know it your going too fast................I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

What is this gator grip stuff you all are talking about, ashamed to say it, but I don't know what it is, or where you get it.
Does anybody know what it would cost to get a replacement swim platform mat set? Anybody ever had to buy one?I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

Your boat looks like it has a mustache.
BTW, I feel your pain. What we did was train our riders to face the boat when putting their stuff on. It's actually easier because they can hold onto the grab rail on the back of the boat. It helps keep them away from the transom as well.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

x2 on the gator grip.
Scoot we have the same boat as you and we put a 4" strip of gator grip along the transom. It has saved the transom countless times. we have no wear on our transom thanks to the gator grip.
It has held up to the underwater abuse of surfing all the time too with loaded ballast without losing its adhesiveness. That would definitely be my recommendation. If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..
