    2007 20V tower diameter

I am just double checking tower diameters. I measured the tower diameter on my 2007 20V. It seems like it is 2 3/8" diameter. Of course, 2.5" is also close, does anyone know what the diameter is? I am wondering b/c I am wanting to order a tower mirror arm and they are asking the diameter.

Also, is the 20V tower called the "e" series tower or the "z" series? I always thought it was the "e" tower, but the bimini manual on the downloads section had it the other way around.

    thanks

You have the Tige "E" series tower on your 20V and the diameter is 2.460"

      thanks

thanks for the info. Only problem is that 2.460" is between 2 3/8" and 2 1/2". All the mirror manufacturers specify tower clamps in 2 3/8" or 2 1/2" sizes. I would assume I should order the 2 1/2" seeing it is close to 2.5".

If they offer both size adapters, use one of each. For my Monster tower racks, I had to use one half of the 2 3/8 adapter and one half of the 2 1/2 adapter. Works awesome and the racks have never moved.

Yes, you would order the size larger and a rubber/plastic insert would make up the difference in width.

For a mirror you will be ok with a 2 3/8" clamp.

Will vouch for that. Got same advice from service rep at Monster Tower.

                thanks

thanks for the info, my bimini will have 2 3/8" clams, and I have ordered the 2.5" also so I will try using both. Also, I found a good deal on a tower mirror that I though I'd pass along. Here's the link, and the price seems great with free shipping.

They sell tons of these on ebay, and there have been very good reviews of the quality and of course the price. I'll let you know what I think. It should be in by Friday.

                  2 3/8", any ideas for a spacer?

It's official....the 2 3/8" clamps fit perfectly. So, I need a spacer for my mirror that is 2.5". No big deal, but where can I get a spacer? I figure a plumbing supply store might work. I have used old bicycle tubing before, but I'd rather have something more permanent. Any ideas?
