    New Tige Owner

    Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum, and have just purchased a 22V Riders Edition. Can anyone tell what parts if any you keep on the boat. I always like having tools and parts to fix the boat while we're at the lake if anything happens.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

What year boat? If it is older than 2000...

oil, spare belt, impeller (soap to install it), carb spray, socket set, crescent wrench, spare plug, rag to check fluids, allen wrench to tighten tower, spare prop / puller, spare cotter key (for where steering cable goes into rudder), screw driver, needle nose plyers, spare light bulb for 360 light, dive mask and knife (in case you get some caught in prop)

You could also have something to quick start your boat.
If its not fun, Why do it?

How on earth can you forget DUCT TAPE?????
Bug spray, sunscreen and BEER. Watch Sears ads during the Xmas season and they have crazy good deals on the mechanics tool set like 100 something pieces that has just about anything you could need and a nice case for around 50-60$. Can't go wrong with that!
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

With all the stuff you guys carry, who needs ballast tanks!! For me, the only thing I will not have is the one thing I need.
I carry a spare impeller and the wrenches to install plus a pair of vice grips.

That's the first thing I go out and buy when I get a new boat, along with an anchor, dock lines, fenders and life jackets.

Overtons has like a whole tool box that has most of what you need.

I havnt seen anyone say hose clamps. It doesnt hurt to have a few on hand.

Thanks everyone, I can see this board will be very usefull. I've had a stern drive boat for so long, this will be a nice change.

What do I need to run this boat out of water (ie On Land). On our i/o we use the big clamps. on the drive.

                              Thanks,
