    complete boat re-do??

So, I found a 2000, 2300V for a great price. However, it's in horrible shape. Both interior and exterior need to be redone. What is the feesabilty in having the gel-coat redone in a different color? I don't know enough about having that done to say if that was a stupid question or not. I have heard that a complete re-do on the interior would be @ $3,500? What about having the exterior redone, i.e., painted?
If the guts of the boat are shot it may be a moot point. That is a headache I don't want to get involved in.

Double check the floor, as they used plywood back then. If has gotten spongy, it will be a major investment to replace. You can paint it, but gelcoat usually will polish out pretty well, especially the good gel tige has. What color is it now?

Here's the link. What year did they start molding the whole boat? For this price in must need MAJOR work. I don't know if that is a headache that I need. Nobody in the family likes the color. At this price I was willing to redo the interior AND the exterior. How does a repainted boat do? I don't know anything about doing a paint job on a boat. Will it work? Would it be worth it? I was looking for a '07 or '08 20V, but this boat intreagued me.

I have seen a lot worse colors on a boat. Check out the engine and trans real well. Interior can be replaced easily. Great price.

What would be a guesstimate on floor redo? What about interior and total exterior?

You will not need a new floor. I know a guy who just had a complete interior installed in a 21v for $3,000.

You would not want to paint over the gelcoat, maybe do some type of vinyl wrap or graphics.

                        Interior price

If the seats & foam are in good shape, you may be able to save some $$ by just replacing the vinyl.

I replaced all my vinyl this spring for $1500.

I can't see the interior that well, but looks like a good boat. I agree on going with a wrap for the exterior. There was a guy illinoisboarder or something was his name. He did a complete overhaul on an inboard. He would probably have some insight. Also the green is not a bad color, it could be worse. Your boat could look like it was a prop for Barney like mine.
