Should the plywood be separating already on my 2002 21v riders edition on the fuel tank hatch? My boat is always in the water but I feel this shouldn't be happening on a 6 year old boat??

THe plywood is actually rotting on the edges where the carpet attatches. No submerging, the fully thing is the bottom part of that cover is fiberglassed and the top part is plywood, I wonder why the whole thing wasn't fiberglassed. The rest of the inside bottom of the boat is and every other piece is plastic. Strange

da, that was me with the floor problem. All of the resin over the floor was shattering. Andrew took it in and replaced the floor and carpet. Our floor was all wood in the 2000. Don't know if the factory support is still the same now though. Andrew took care of us then. The tank cover should be an inexpensive fix for the dealer or for venetrex especially if he can reuse the carpet. Home Depot will have everything you need. Kind of weird they mixed materials and did not finish the bottom. Even treated wood will rot when constantly exposed to moisture. That would be the bilge of most boats including mine.
