I think I am very safe at saying that my boat was built in 2006 and delivered to my dealer on 12/06/06 as a 2007 model year. Boat made in 06 and delivered to Reeds Marine 12/06/2006.
All this is documented on a copy of the Manufactures Statement of Origin which I kept a copy of when I titled the boat.
Sort has me feelin my boat is shortly to become two model years old and working on its 3rd calendar birthday.
I am in the middle of dealing with the rest of my warranty claims. Some of the items I feel should be replaced or repaired we are not seeing eye to eye on. Chipped fake plastic chrome on plastic sharkeye is one of the simple issues. Harvey S seems want to be fair but from pictures he can't tell the severity of a problem. I have a long seat on the port side were a section of the material seams are all twisted and not connected to or touching the back ing board. We definetly have to come to agreement on this and a couple of others. From what I have heard Harvey is fair so we shall see how he deals with my calm responses.

(duplicate post from the Tige V forum re: Opinions needed re:Purchase of 2007 20V
As some of you know I am thinking of buying Jims (1Labs) 2007 20V off of him due to the condition he is in with his cluster headache attacks. He is currently in the hospital on an IV drip of Keflex and other meds to try and break his cluster cycle. He gets out tomorrow morning vs the week they originally said.
Not to digress too much but Jim suggested I solicit Tigerowners opinions to counter his bias regarding his boat. I posted most of this in another post in the Tige V forum re: Opinions needed re:Purchase of 2007 20V.
I talked with Jim today and here is what he finally found out.
Fact 1- His 20v was built in November 2006.
Fact 2- The new swim Platform made of Burmese Teak were first shipped to Tigé around March 22,2007. Based on when its last order was filled Tigé seems to buy large inventory when it buys platforms. Jim has some other info but it should not be posted.
Per the undisclosed vendor, Iroko Wood is notorious for cracking, delaminating and the other symptoms documented on the forum.
It sure looks like the platform is Iroko wood from the info collected.
Harvey Smith from Tigé stated today the Iroko is teak and when Jim attempted to clarify he would not speak to the issue. He will talk to Production VP and Owner on Monday to get their read on this issue.
So it seems like Jim and maybe others will need to wait until next week to see how far Jim can get in getting to a resolution. He does not feel it will be resolved in his favor but all he can do is wait. Tigé holds the cards at the moment.
We hope this helps some of you. PM me if you need more info.

Jim does have an attention getting boat. I like the use of the 3 colors and the orange Bimini.
I have similar concerns as Jim regarding the wood used on the platform. I find the response pretty cheesy at this point and it has me worried that the boat will get stuck with Iroko wood vs. Burmese Teak or Fiber glass.
He isn't feeling any better per his wife Paula. She is getting him discharged tomorrow if the treatment continues to remain ineffective overnight.
The insurance they have is a PPO that pays well after you meet the deductible according to Paula. The individual deductible is $3k, In Network. Ouch.

He knows that.
In my opinion just rock it until you see any of the negatives and then replace it. Have Jim subtract the $500 a new platform will cost from your purchase price and put this all behind you. You are definitely sweating the unnecessary details."a what? i can['t] say/spell/pronounce that word..." - wannabewakeboarder

If Jim knows it is wrong why wait? Get what you paid for now vs delaying which could imply that the Iroko wood turned out to be OK in Jim's mind so when it fails they will say he accepted it.
Jim was released this morning!!! His head still is fubar. He is looking for a chiro/ accupuncture dude now to see if the can fix.
