One quick note on the side-to-side weighting or balancing of the boat. What I have found is that you can't just even out the people weight in the boat. i.e. you can't put 2 people on the left and 2 people on the right and think that it is "even". The best way that I have been able to balance my boat out for wakeboarding is by arranging people beforehand to where I *think* is balanced and then have one person be the designated "mover".
From my experience it is easiest for the rider to tell if the boat is balanced because (a) they are 75+ feet away and have a better perspective and (b) if the wake is washing out on one side that means you need to shift the "mover" closer to that side. So when I'm wakeboarding I'll just position the mover to the left or the right by pointing until I see the boat level out. Sometimes it's really hard to tell if the boat is on plane s/s from inside the boat.
