22v length on the trailer

I'm in the process of buying a house, and even though the lakehouse has a garage that a 22v (with and without the platform) will fit, I'm curious as to the length. I'm wanting to keep in in my home garage in town occasionally.

Also, will the tower clear under a 7 foot garage door when folded down? The 24v I was looking at was like 7'2" and wouldnt fit.

with my 21ir forlded down it would only clear a 7 foot garage by moving it in at an angle. It sucked, that is why I opted to get a storage unit. it's also like 23 almost 24 feet long with the trailer, so I would imagine that yours is almost 25 since it's a foot longer(all without the swim platform attached) Mine does not have the pivot tongue, something I wish it did. Oh well, the dealer was wanting to move the boat,so I got it for a steal(IMO) so I guess I got almost every option.

thanks for the response! I'm not sure how long the garage is (havent bought the house yet... or the boat for that matter!), but I'm betting that I can fit it in there at an angle.

our 24v is in a 30 ft storage with 12 foot high clearance With a wake design tower the boat is 11 foot high (measured this myself) and approx 27-28 ft long. Subtract around 12 inches for the 22v - supposedly not a true 2 ft of difference in the two.

these figures are with tower up, platform on, and no swing tongue.

Another option for height issues is to see what type of axles the traler has. Mine has drop axles, drops it about 3 inches. I was at one time considering putting in straight axles so that I had more clearance so I didn't always drag the transom cover. However, after I bought the new rig(went from yukon, to PSD) I didn't have transom issues. I guess I wasn't using enough drop of a hitch. Anyway, if you had straght axles and wanted to get more clearance, just swap and put the drop one's in. If you need a link to a place that sells them just let me know.

thanks dom! I've actually been tossing around the idea of having magnum (located in both austin and san antonio) custom building a trailer. Guess I'll look into it a bit more!

I fit a 22V on a Extreme trailer in my 6'11" garage door. I'm not sure who built your trailer, but the Extreme trailers seem to ride a little high. I have to knock down the tower (Phat Tower), then back the rig in with a 9" drop hitch to clear the door opening. When it is in, the ceiling fits fine. My Tige dealer let me try the fir before I ordered the boat.

thats cool.. I'm probably going to end up w/ an 6" or 8" drop hitch- plus the ramp leading into the driveway is fairly steep so that'll drop the tongue more.

Ruune, I'll give that a shot for now but some of them have actually ripped off. They were already peeling and the water must have ripped them off while I was out on the water.
