Perfect Pass - Pay for Install or Do Yourself?

Which Perfect Pass are you guys looking at?? The recreational or the wakeboard?

The Wakeboard Pro...but PP is supposed to be coming out with a new unit that will work without TBW - Mechanical Motors - for our older boats, that is a GPS unit.

Hey signguy- I have an 06 which is not TBW and has paddle wheel speedo. I did not drill holes I use my existing paddle wheel install took 1hr tops...if you decide to not do the GPS thing do it your self its easy...I did have to add a throttle return spring for better response and Left my old speedo connected under the dash for some reason the lake water temp and speedo response didnt work without it.

did you tap in to the exisiting paddle wheel? I was told you have to put one in either way, but if I don't have to drill...even better! Do you have the paddle wheel on the back of the boat?

Yes I tapped the existing wheel wire. My paddle is under the boat about 10 inches to the Port of where the drive comes out...Directly across from the cold water intake opposite of the drive shaft.

I was told by the guys at PP if your paddle is in the back you drill if it's under you can use existing. Mine is working great.

Water temp and depth come from the paddle wheel

You get more accurate readings from under the hull vs the existing on the stern.

And its good to have a backup incase one were to ever fail for whatever reason.
