The only thing I have heard about the gps is that you have to wait for the satelite signal, and Im not sure how that would work on rivers either, maybe there is a adjustment for currents.

Does that mean I should go GPS or stick with PP?

You can only go with a gps speed control if you have drive by wire, if you don't have that then you need to stick with PP.

Isn't PP's StarGazer their version with GPS? If so, why not go with that one?

I think that required Throddle By Wire technology that the 22v does not have available to it.

I believe you are correct on both the StarGazer being for TBW, and the 22V being cable driven

I'd go with the good old fashioned PerfectPass. Not sure the GPS would be worth the extra money and it would mess you up if you're ever on a river.

Not without reading the manual. Hint: Go to page 11.

I talked to ZeroGPS today and you are all correct I would need to have TBW technology in order for the gps to work. From what I was told that this company bought perfect pass and will be taking over speed control technology in 2009 with almost all major manufacturers. Including Tige! So on that note I am forced to go with PP and drill a 2" hole in my boat~ Ahhh..Please send anymore info that would help me with my new installation of PP....Thanks guys!

If you do not have throttle by wire you can not use Zero-off. You're stuck with PP like it or not.

Which isn't exactly a bad thing.

Yes, Tige has some big changes in store for the dealers meeting in July 2009. Wish we knew what was coming.
