    Looks really nice! Enjoy.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Congratulations, I've got the same boat that we bought last fall. Champagne and black, but it has a small tube tower that I think little of. Yes, the TAPS will trim out any porpoising. Consider replacing the water pump impeller, and changing engine, trans, and v-drive oils and the fuel filter unless they've just been done. I put new spark plugs in mine as well, pricey buggers.

Speaking of props, does your's have the 13" and the 1:1 ratio v-drive like mine? That one's the black Walter, the 1.42:1 ratio v-drive is blue as I've been told. The launch from idle is supposed to be better with the reduction drive and the larger prop. I'd be interested in hearing your impressions.

I had the v-drive out this winter replacing the output shaft seal that failed due to prop shaft misalignment (check your alignment) and considered swapping out the gears for the 1.42s while it was apart, but at $450 for the gear set plus a new prop, I just couldn't justify it this round.

I said I was going to start a new thread but oh well, here we go...

I have a black v-drive so I am guessing it is a 1:1. Also it has a 4 blade 13x12.125 0.06 cup prop. I was not that impressed with the speed out of the hole. When I really lay into it the motor spins up fast and cavitates the crap out of the water for a few seconds before it gets going fast enough to stop cavitating. It doesn't seem like the right prop for the boat. Also the top end speed was limited to ~38mph. Although, we were at 5500' elevation.

I bought the boat anyways because it was a good deal and I think I can fix the hole shot problem with a new prop. So basically, I think I can drive a prop with more effective pitch or diameter since I am not power limited. The engine did not sound like it was loading up at all when I floored it. It just beat the piss out of the water around the prop. I am going to call the guys at ACME to get their take on it.

If you all have any experience I would love the feedback. What prop do all you 20V owners run?
