I've seen several posts on the Attwood Visionair seat.

    It's now available from http://www.boatingseats.com/Boat-Sea...Boat-Seats.asp for $429.99

I think I will use my stock seat on the new boat for a few years. Is a heck of a lot nicer than my Four Winns had

I want one. I also saw that price. Only draw back that I can see by their site is they have very few color choices. Just an FYI. I still want one and I think I will get one. Safety reason with the flip up bolster it will help my wife drive.

Awesome seat but the damn pedestal that Tige puts in the boats are terrible. Apparently they think every person is 6 foot plus in the world. I can barely see over all the gauges. Need to talk with XPJim, I know he has one for sale and I still need to measure how high the pedestal is now.

I just ordered one that's made by Garelic. It's a 2 7/8" with a 9" base. It's about 12" tall and I'd figured I'd cut it down to size as needed. I'm 6'7" and I think it's too short so I know how you feel.

I understand the bolster issue. on our previous boat we did not have a bolster so my wife would sit on those square throw live preservers. They did the job but drove me nuts. The standard seat has a bolster so I won't have to fight those cushions anymore.

But the chair back doesn't come to play. It's more like sitting in a bar stool and it's okay for awhile.. After an hour or two.

$45 and a little bit of labor, problem solved. I don't know who's idea it was to have 5" pedastals, but it's not very practical no matter how tall you are (ok, maybe if you're as tall as talltigeguy). If I'm worried about messing up my doo, then I need to find something else to do

Where did you find that $45 solution???? XPJim has a pedestal that he is willing to sell me that is 15" tall. However, I am not sure the current height of the pedestal so I couldn't comment if it's going to work.

Oops, I misspoke. It was $70 with shipping, I got it mixed up with something else I ordered.

I did measure on my 2100v and it's 5". Garelick makes them in 8", 12" and 18" heights. I ordered mine from marine-products.com.

You can get them on iboats.com too for a little more, but free shipping at times. They've had them since Tige' started putting them in.

I have a pedestal that is about 7" for sale too. I'll sell for shipping plus lunch money.

I have a 9 inch and 15 inch Gareklick Ribbed pedestal available. With my glasses I like driving looking over the windshield. I cut an 18 inch tall pedestal down to 15 inches and never installed it as I am going a different route.
                            Let it be!!!

Will more than likely get the 15" from you... But at this time, there is a Tige dealers meeting in the next week or two and my salesperson is going to talk with someone regarding this and getting one for free... But, I am not holding my breath.
