    Z1 Opinions Please !!

I am just about ready to order a new Z1 and wondered what you guys thought about the new graphite color and any other comments about this boat. What options do you like best, what are must haves etc. Any issues I should be concerned with and other words of wisdom.
    Thanks

Get a 340HP engine... Everything else you can upgrade along the way... Wetsounds, FAE, etc...

I talked to my dealer a week ago and he said the surf wake is good on the Z1.
Evidently Tige shortened the width of the swim platform so as not to interfere with the wake. I mentioned I had been reading that the RZ2 had problems with the surf wake due to the swim platform. Not sure if Tige has resolved this problem?

I like the look of the Z1 but I'm not sure I could get over the twin sundeck pad exposing the engine to water,or kids arms while the engine is running.

Like I said when I heard the V was going to be discontinued, Long Live The V.
I Love it and am so glad I bougt it instead of the VE.

what options are you looking at getting already? Here is what I would go with:

*320hp unless budget is not an issue, then get the 340, but not needed in this boat.
        *extended Bimini
        *SS appearance package
*plumbed and wired for ballast but leave out the hard tanks in the rear. The info says the Z1 comes with 600#'s but we just measures one tonight, and it is around 900#'s but the hard tanks take up storage all the time. Go with sacs and loose storage only when filled.
        *Vision Air chair
*heater if you are into cool weather boating
        *Walk-thru wind screen

I may think of more later, but bottom line is that anything you get now has a 3 yr warranty from Tige.

Don't know if the speed set is an option or not, but if it is I would make sure it was on mine. I put in perfect pass after I bought my boat, and if I had to give up all options but one, that would be the one I would keep.

SpeedSet should not be an option, it should be standard.

It would be like buying a car without airconditioning.

              Chpthril about covered it.
The only thing I could add is an all day test drive to make sure it's the right Tige for you and it meets all expectations.
We are on our second Tige with a third in our future in a year or two.
You will not be dissapointed with the quality.

                Thanks All,
I added the SS option, duel batteries, lite bar, b-top, 6 speaker sound with tower speakers, heater, and the graphite color that matches my Hemi perfectly. My first new boat after 30 years of various used ones. It should be fun.

Sounds like it is going to be a great boat. Post up pictures when you get it.

Congrats, I have the graphite/tangerine color on my RZ2 and love it. The graphite is not as hot as solid black too so it does fine on those really hot days.

Do you guys think the graphite over white is ok or would you suggest a contrasting color for the lower sides.
thanks for all the great input.

There's a pic floating around somewhere with the color combo you want. But I couldn't find it. You'll love it. It's a killer combo. My current boat is crystal white w/ a storm grey hull. I always get compliments. Go for it!
