Very simply, (in my opinion) if you have 4 speakers, you need 4 amp channels.

That being said lets make two arguments:
    1. The manufacturer says its STEREO amp is 2-ohm stable per channel, and the amp is good for 100 watts per channel into 2-ohms per channel. You want to drive two pairs of speakers.
    * If the speakers are 4-ohms (and no lower) you can wire two speakers in paralell, (plus to plus, and minus to minus) resulting in a 2-ohm load and connect that to the amp. Same thing for both sides of the amp, left and right.
    * The 100 watts per channel is driving two speakers in parallel, so each speaker is getting 50 watts.

    2. The manufacturer's amp is NOT 2-ohm stable. It does put out 100 watts per channel into a 4-ohm load, and no lower. You still want to wire two pair of speakers to the amp.
    * You will have to wire the speakers in SERIES, (amp plus to the first speaker, first speaker minus to the second speaker's plus, thn the second speakers minus back to the amp)
    * The series wiring of the speakers results in an 8-ohm load. That results in a power output per channel of roughly 50 watts. Since there are two speakers in series, each speaker gets half of that, i.e 25 watts per speaker.
Ok, that makes sense. I've got a Kenwood 2 channel amp that is 2 Ohm stable. I've got 2 pair of speakers hooked up in parallel. The amp itself is 170W per channel RMS at 4 Ohms and 230 per channel RMS at 2 Ohms. The speakers are 90 RMS @ 4 Ohms each. Sounds like I'll be ok.

Don't for get pic of that lowered trailer. I have never seen one or heard of anyone doing this. I think it is pretty cool. What did it cost to get a trailer lowered???

      Thanks
      Sam
Sam just to be clear we did not lower the trailer to have a unique look but lowered it due to neccesity.
The issue with my 20V and trailer is related to the height of the boat with the tower folded and the fact that with the standard trailer the maximum height of the boat on the trailer was driven by the tower. My garage opening is standard height but the tower raised the boats overall height to 86.5 inches while the garage is 82.5 inches.

Since I live in a subdivision that does not allow trailers or RV's of any type on the driveways we had to find a way to lower the trailer to slide it under the door. To do this my trailer company lowered the bunks by 3 inches which leaves enough clearance for the fins, prop, rudder and tap plate, and reduces the trailer height to 83.5 inches which is still 1 inch too high.

We also had to reduce the overall length of the trailer to 20feet 5 inches which was covered by my sales contract. They did this by removing the bunks by the speed pickup and by the water intake and then adjusted the tongue area of the boat.

Like I said by dropping the bunks 3 inches they got the overall height to 83.5 inches which still won't fit if the trailer is hitched level to the tow vehicle. To get the remaining 1-2 inches to get it under the garage door we are going to use an 11 inch drop drawbar which "hopefully will put the tongue just above the floor giving us the remaining clearance we need. If that doesn't work I will then build a ramp for the wheels of the boat which will raise the back and hopefully lower the front to allow that darn e-series tower to clear. We have some other options including raising the garage sill but before I re-construct my 7 year old house were my previous boat fit we are going to try the options I have outlined and if they don't work I have a couple of ideas left like adding ballast to the back of the tow vehicle again with the goal of getting the tongue lower with the equiv of more tongue weight.

As far as cost to lower the trailer my dealer will pass the cost to me with no markup to get me out of his and the owners hair. The estimate for the trailer mods is now $250-$500 because for this vendor I was the first trailer they built for a Tige with tower.

They may need to remove the tower and lower it an inch or so by cutting the existing mounts off an lowering the tower so it is just above the windshield frame as a last resort. As you can see this has been a big pain so far. Once we are done I will post the pics of the boat and trailer and the monster PRO 80's that were delivered today. They are BIG. Just think, this is the short story

Hey, one option for you might be the new Monster Tower. Mine folds flat below the windshield. If your windshield has enough clearance, then you should be good.

Part of me still says you might be better off saving all this money and get a covered storage unit, but I don't know your situation where you live. We have a bunch of these near where we live.

So far the trailer issue will cost me $531.00 vs. Monthly rental.

If it works, it will look slick on the black low boy....

I have winter storage for $100.00 but it is 3 hours away by my dad's lake.

We shall see how this pass works before I contemplate replacing tower.

          But, thanks for the ideas

I'd be worried about lowering the trailer too much because your sh** starts dragging on the ground.

Good point but should be covered.

The trailer manufacturer has looked into it and made sure once they made the 3 inch mod that all was okay with prop fins and othe sh_t.

They took the trailer to a different Tige dealer than mine and loaded up a 20V and all was okay according to the contact I have at the trailer company. The trailer company is liable for its design I have not told them how to lower it to meet my needs. various changes they made will be standard in their production models for other 20V's. I guess in Indianna, Wisconsin and Michigan they are a trailer of choice. It is a quality product built by Amish craftsmen I have been told. It is made in Amish country of Indianna.

Before I take acceptance of trailer I will look at very carefully and measure various critical points.

So, do they pull the trailers with horses? ()

I was called today by my Tige Dealer and the trailer was done. Before they put my boat on it they pressure washed the trailer to get the salt off of it and the pinstriping that was hand painted came off in some areas. Instead of going back to the trailer company and costing me another month my dealer will fix.

Anyway the dealer also told me with the tongue 7 inches off the floor that the waketower will clear the garage sill by an inch+ . My 11 inch drop bar only gives me 9 inches of drop so when the boat is hitched to my Jeep I am hoping it will drop close to two inches based on tongue weight. It looks like we may have a winner after all this time. Since the boat is being stored there until mid April they are going to install the Pro80's and Amp and fix a few other items. I go there next Wednesday morning to measure and hook to Jeep. I'll take pictures then. Finally

I went to my dealer today and got to see the finished version of the lowered trailer. All items on the underside of the boat are still protected and have plenty of clearance so no worries there. More importantly when hitched to my Jeep with the 11 inch drop bar I have 2+ inches of clearance now for it to fit under my garage sill. The length of the trailer was also adjusted. Without Swim Platform and tongue folded overal length of boat and trailer is now from trailer tip to Taps Plate end is 20 ' 3". garage is just over 21' deep

I am having them remove the pinstriping that is fubar and we are good to go on the trailer. Next objective install the Pro 80's. Attached pic shows 20V on lowboy trailer.

Looking good there. One thing for you to check is on the inside of the fender, where it is carpeted next to the boat. Make sure no screw heads are there. Another Tige owner did some nice Gel coat damage because of the exposed screw heads,
                        Let it be!!!

I have a similar issue need another 1"+ on garage clearance and my dealer said the new illuison trailer I am getting can be lowered (cranked down) a little more and I am having the trailer built with prop guard rollers so the angle of my driveway wont be a factor either. - Good luck!

Just out of curiosity what is the height of your garage opening?

Yeah, judging from that guy's pictures, it looked like they gave him a trailer that was way too narrow.
