    New Tige Tower???

I am thinking about getting a new tower on my 24v. It is a 2004 and the currnent one altough looks good, sounds like crap. It is not torsionally strong and rattles really bad. I like the tower that comes on the new 24v. Would this bolt right up to where my old one did, or would have have to make new holes and modifications?

Also are they possible to buy, how much and where from.

I no longer have a Tige dealer anywhere close to me in manitoba, or saskatchewan.

that samson z tower is REALLY shaky. One guy had one at the cold water and it moved alot.

I have the samson tower that collapses really easy and is pretty solid

yeah, I was looking at the razor tower. Is that the one you have? I currently have the TIGE Z tower, and i want to replace with samson razor.

You talking about a "Z" series tower, right?

I would be willing to bet that it would fit right in he fronts, and may cover the back holes.

What you need is someone to measure the footprint.

What is a Samson "Z" Tower?

As for as I know they only make two types, one being a Razor and the other called a Switch Blade. I have had both, and have not had any major shaking issues. ( thats with 4 Tower speakers)

The Razor is made of 2.5 inch tubing and the Switch Blade is 3 inch tubing.

Maybe his tower was loose, or I have not been in a real stiff tower.. I don't know?

Either way, no complaints from me about my Samsons

Is the "Z" tower shaky? I really dont like the shakes. The one I have actually hits the windos when in chop.

I like the looks of the Samson tower but I can not find any info on there site are anywhere else rather.

My boat is just getting re gelled and would be a good time to switch towers.

The Z is solid, just a little hard to drop compared to some.

When is the last time you re-torqued the mounting bolts and pivot/up-right bolts?

Actually I have not. I will do that when I get my boat back though. I imagine that the place will do this as they have to take the tower off. Even if I do this I still think it will be ratchety and noisy in the chop. I do have tower speakers that will help contribute to this.

My "E" series creaked a little til I smeared a dab of anti-seize at all the joints, etc (with folded down). Now, the only thing that really makes noise is the bimini when not put up.

2nd Pic: Switch Blade fully set up with bim and speakers @ Dealer
3rd Pic: Swivel rack of Switch Blade. ( Pretty much the same rack that is on the Razor)
4th Pic: Pic of Typical weld and machining on the Switch Blade tower.

5th Pic is a Razor tower on my old 22VE

Like I said, I think both are solid, I have anywhere from 2 to 4 boards on the racks at most times and the quad Samson Speakers, The only time I noticed a shake on the Razor was when we went through some really rough water with very high winds, the kind of water that makes your ribs hurt! I think any tower in that condition would shake a bit.

Thats the tower I want! That is wicked. How much am I looking at spending for a samson tower with racks, mirror and bimini?

                              Which one?

The RZ2 has the Switch Blade and the 22VE has the Razor.

Best to call Samson to get a price. Our dealer does not offer the Tige Tower at all..... All he uses is the Samson line for all the Tige boats he sells.

You can call my dealer if you want, maybe he can drop ship you one or hook you up with Scott @ Samson.
