That looks nicer than an observers bench. MC had it on their Maristar23 foot around 1999 +- a couple of years of production. You couldnot sleep in it but it ws nice in rough water to sit in it.

In V-drive models I would like the choice. Hell I am 50 plus so I don't have a boat fulll of raging hormones with me. I normally go out with wife, possibly 1 or both mu daughters,my BIL and my sister and a couple of others in their early to mid 40's. We enjoy the Bucket in the Maristar . O well can't have everything but I wish there was a darn choice.

I guess it is to each their own if they want to spend $$$ on the BU. Oh well if I has my boat here I could take a nap in the observer seat. Just over 2/12 months then I get to break the motor in.

I trhink the dual buckets look sharp. Sure you loose a little below the seat storage but geez how much do you need?

When you fill most of it with 1200#'s of ballast, you'll take all you can get

On a serious note, we went from an 18' to this 22'........if I could take the 18'r apart in pieces, I could store it on the 22Ve, there is that much storage. That being said, I have found myself filling nearly all the storage in the boat

When I emptied my 19' FourWinns prior to getting rid of it I could not believe I had 5 slalom skis, 1 pair of skis, 2 air pumps for tubes, 2 anchors, large tackle box, 3 spin casting rods mounted in open space on port side,7 ski vests of varying sizes,2 60" tubes, 4 fenders cushions and 6 throw cushions. I also had an extra taillight because everytime I blew a tire out went a taillight. 1 128 piece toolkit, spare aluminum prop and spare stainless prop and still room for 4 dogs 4-6 people. We used the boat to haul coolers , suitcases, pop, food etc for the trip down to the southern Ozarks.

The only thing I worrk about is will my ski's fit and some other misc gear. The FourWinns had all that engine compartment space, space under the bench seat and reasonable ski storage and front seat storage.

I doubt I get it all in the 20V. We will have to reduce the # of throw cushions and skis. No fishing gear and I will only have 1 spare prop.

After I went to the infamous Milwaukee boat show I found out that you can get dual buckets in the Malibu 20' Sunscape(Model) on up so it seem that they are coming back.
