We looked at an 05 22V at the same time we chose the Ve. With the time spent on CP3's, I have found the difference in sunpad area between the 2 is negligible. The Ve's do have a slightly smaller storage space, but not enough to really tell.

The walk-thru was the first we saw on the Tige. The activity center storage is invaluable to us. We keep all the ropes, soap, shoes, trash, etc in them.

Even if the dealer had his heart right on the 05 22V, we would have still gone with the 06Ve

Just my Some like the classic look of the V, some like the function of the Ve, I just liked the Ve better.

Y, I love my Ve walkthrough, and the reversable cushions on the corners to step on. We take non-boaters all the time, and its so much better to have them be able to get in without stepping on any upholstery.

If it were me and the price was about the same, I'd get the Ve.
We're going to have to agree to disagree on this one. The Taps is going to come into play on ramp vs vert. At 0 and 7 there may be differences, but I don't ride or surf at either of those settings.
So IMO they are similar in those "in between" settings.

I think we're saying the same thing. My point was that the Ve is geared more towards wakeboarding than an all around boat like the Vs were. Take a closer look at the hull shape and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I've got no issue with the V, but we've changed our riding habits over the years so, for me, the Ve is better suited to what we do most of the time. I ski just a few times a year just to prove that I can still do it. Most of the time we're wakesurfing. After that, it's wakeboarding. The Ve throws a killer surf wake (check out my gallery..that's an unballasted boat).

I still love my boat, which is why I don't have a new one yet.

the 22vé hull is a 24v with 2 feet chopped off at the transom, hence more rocker. Also, my '04 22v is rated for 10 people. The current 22vé is rated for 14. Thats 4 extra fatties for ballast. You might need to bring more ho-hos, but it might be worth it.

Agree with these points. The walkthrough and activity center make a big difference for me when you have folks putting on skis/boards and then getting into the water. Also easier to store gear as previously mentioned. I'm on a lake with a dock so the impact on storage doesn't matter to me as the dock is always less than an hour away and we spend more time there than just sitting on the lake.

Put 1500 - 2000 lbs in either boat and they are very impressive. If you rode behind the 22v one day and then a 22ve the next. I don't think it would be very easy to tell the difference, because you can adjust the TAPS for more or less ramp. IMO I would look at the interior of the boat an decide which one you like the best.

I have a 2004 24V(which is for sale). The Ve has a different transom "activity center". I do not think it is worth extra money since the hulls are very similar. I have never felt the need for ballast in mine. Wakes are a great height and shape at 7 on the TAPS. Add a few people and it ramps up nicely. I am trying to sell mine so I can get my wife through nursing school.

I dunnow, I love that activity center, and the transom walkthrough, and the flip over corner cushions in the Ve. We were going to drive down to a dealer and buy the malibu, then I saw the boattest.com video on the 24Ve, and it was those features that made me wait, and drive the few hours to a dealer to look at the 24Ve. Especially if you take other non-boating families and people on the boat, the walkthrough and flip cushions are outstanding. And the activity center is the best for boarding. You sit on the back, and everything is RIGHT there, ropes, gloves, lube, whatever in those easy compartments. Its a very nice design.

That was one of the many things that drew us to the Tige
