ok here it goes. i am looking at getting into a new boat for our family as soon as i can get rid of mine. i have found a 2006 22v with 70 hours on it with ballast and loaded out. and i have found some 22ve but more expensive. how much difference is there between theese boats as far as wakeboarding wake. i know the ve is a little better from what i have been told but is it that big of a difference. also i have looked at the z1. i am assuming that the Z1 would prob be close to the 22v. well any help would be great thanks..

Ive spent a fair amount of time in CP3's 05 22V. Not a lot of time boarding, but a lot of seat time driving and a good bit of surfing. I cant tell a real diff at all. CP3 has done likewise, so maybe he can chime in on the wake.
Good luck, let us know whatcha getMikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Another thing to consider is the number of passangers. I had a 22V last year and it only seats 11 passangers. The Ve I think it is rated for 14 or 15 passangers.
I traded my 22V for a RZ2, and one of the main reasons was that we like to take friends to the lake with us and the RZ2 even though it is the same length it allows for more passangers, as the Ve.The laughter of the world is merely loneliness pathetically trying to reassure itself. - Neal A. Maxwell

I need a little more time to make a full judgement, but I have a good friend who has a 24ve and I have a 24V. His wakeboarding wake seems more rampy to me. I rode his and mine a week apart unballasted, and mine seemed more steep when the TAPS was up on both boats.
I bet those comparisons hold for the 22 foot versions.Be excellent to one another.

I have a 2006 22v and it seems to impress everybody I tow as far as wake is concerned and I don't have ballast. It sounds funny to here that it only holds 11 people. I bought it over the 20v because it held 11. All of that being said having the option of taking even more people would be cool!
