Tessa if you review my other thread with the video of my 20i I gave you some info of how I use my v and we teach alot of skiing you wont find a stronger boat then a tige. The boat in the video is a 20 switch i but at home on my lake we practice and teach behind a v drive, also if you do a lot of teaching you might consider what we use which is a barefoot international boom which mounts to the tower and works quite well.

Thanks Dogbert but I am not sure that was the right Video. I thought FIC used a V drive for training and the skiing Video you gave me the link to looked like an I drive with a pylon extender.
I will talk to my dealer today and get the senior tech's opinion.
Thanks to all

You are correct, which is what has been said a few times, FIC has a Switch I-direct drive that is in the video. But he also uses a 20v which is what he was talking about. Totally different pylon designs, but still plenty strong none the less. Adding the video was just to show how the boat can be driven and that we love our boats, we're sure you will too.

I am sure I will love driving the boat because our test ride was a blast. The only thing that has me hung up and upset is the towing capacity of a performance skiboat. I have an idea that is better than lifting hooks and better than a tow eye that I am looking into this week. May have to borrow a part from MC but it will look good and perform the function and unless you are a Tige expert you may not notice if we can make it fit.

I talked with the senior Tech at my dealer and he stated I will be able to do what I want without liftinghooks.
I also put a message directly to Tige who answered thru my salesman and Tige states that they have not had a pylon break on older or newer designs. Not one pylon issue so he said do what you used to do and have fun it will take the load. No one seems to know where 300 lbs came from
Since I am technical by nature I have asked for it in writing but I will keep my emails re: this. YeaLast edited by tessa; 12-11-2007, 09:14 PM.

Yep cannot wait to get it in the water snd put it thru its paces. That won't happen until late April or early May due to location.
I probably won't get it out of winter storage until early April so I can personalize it. Debating tower speakers
We will see in late May (Memorial Day) if I can still slalom. I lost all the cartilage in my inner joint on my left knee so now I have a piece of titanium in there. I am hoping between the years physical therapy and this winters PT and 340 HP vs 190 hp that I will be able to get up again. I have changed ski's to give me more lift so we will see if this old man can do it again. I have been off ski's and air chair since I blew my knee three years ago. If no skiing then we will deal with other alternatives. I used to be an aggressive skier and hope to get back there on the TigeLast edited by tessa; 12-12-2007, 03:43 PM.
