How Many Skiers can the 2007 Tige 20V Pull

I read in a review article somewhere that the 2007 Tige 20V can only pull 1 slalom skier at a time. Is it true that you cannot double up on a boat that has 340HP and a fairly heavy hull for a 20 footer?

Is the limitation because of the Pylon size? Is bigger better?

If it can only pull a single slalom sker, can it pull multiple two skiers and knee boarders?

How many hydrofoilers(Airchairs,Ski Skys) can it pull. I think this is a function of the tower so with the Tige E tower can it pull at least two?

There is probably a sticker on the pylon that says "one skier". In 06, I think, is when Tige changed the pylon and it is no longer anchored to the stringers. I've been pulling 2 60" tubes with up to 4 adults for 2 yrs now and see no issues. I've pulled double boarders and knee boarders from the tower also.

I'd say, be cautious and use your best judgement. Be prepared, if something were to break, it may not be covered under warranty.

I'm not sure about the 20v, but my 2005 22v that was actually built in 2004 is not anchored to the stringers either. KKO's 2003 22v is anchored to the stringers though so maybe 03/04 is the switchover point.

What is the mini pylon mounted to if not the stringers?

It is just through-bolted to the deck. I have had a slalom skier take some pretty fast and hard turns and didn't notice it moving all that much. We have also towed tubes from there a couple times and still have no gel coat cracks or other issues. There have been many ranting posts about the pylon not going all the way to the stringers anymore on the v-drives and equally as many people saying they will continue to use it like it is and see what happens. I bet you could pull up two double skiers, especially kids or one adult and one kid. Two 250 pound adults...your call

Just to give you a perspective, the pylon mount that they used when they built my boat is over-engineered to the point that I could probably use my boat as a tug boat.

I'm winterizing my boat today so I'll take a picture of it while I have it out.

That looks better than thru bolted to the floor. I can't believe they would under engineer it to a point where a hard slalom skier can make it wobble. My old 19' Four Winns I/O at least could pull double slalom skiers and 3 60" tubes.

Did you see the pictures that FIC posted? His 20i is pulling a bunch of skiers.

you dont want to try the FIC stunts off the ski pole of a 20v you will have issues if you try.

                            total 300lbs max

If you down load the new manual from the tige website. They rate all their pylons at maximum of 300lbs. FIC must be towing very skiny people or the 300lbs is legal bull$@#t to avoid warranty claims. I regulary wake board, knee board, tube with son together behind a 07 22ve and I am just under 300lbs and he is over with no problems at all
