Yepper considered that day 1. I need village permit, association permit, arcitectual drawings, facia drawings. I have to go before construction committee and a few more things before nail 1 is removed. Since I built house with two door 3 stall , 1 for wife 1 for summer time boat and 1 for 2000 Red Mustang convertible I have 2 doors. 1 16 foot door and 1 8 foot. obviously the Tige won't fit in the 8ft section but I need to raise both sills for sake of conformity. Cost approx $3k. not practical a Big PITA.

I think getting the tower height down to 83 1/2" and a 10 inch drop bar will do the trick. If not it goes to my winter storage location until I figure out what to do and my emotions calm down. My dealer has disappeared and now I have to chase them.Down. I accept the blame because I never thought that the tower would exceed my height opening on 14" tires. So the Fubar continues....... .... .....

You'd a thunk the dealer could have warned me about the height and a standard garage. I specified to them the max lenght of boat and trailer including the 10" Taps plate and them goofed this up so now I wait for them to build a trailer to my needs again. need by end January so I can move forward and licensee everything, take possesion , pay taxes etc..

It would be a shame if you accidentally backed into the garage, and had to file an insurance claim

It's been a bad year for insurance. My daughter totaled a 2002 Jeep, I got into 2 bumper wars on the expressway and I and rear ended a Saturn with my Mustang. I am ok insurance wise for now because of 29 clean years with same company but I don't need anything else on homeowners or car policy with company that carries all my insurance for a while so that idea is shot...

Its funny we never even measured the height of the garage or boat and just barely clear it. The highest point on the boat just grazes the weather stripping on the door.

Instead of buying a bunch of hitches for your truck is it possible to just push it?
We get the boat half way in then drop it down and push the rest. Takes about 3-4 people depending on how level you driveway is and maybe 2 to get it out.

I wish but it is an uphill push and it is just me and my wife. Once the jack is in the garage we will be okay but before that can happen I need the tower to clear the door sill. The door itself is moved high enough. It is the wood frame around the garage door that is the core issue. Thanks for your idea but it won't work for me and I am not adopting anybody to push

            Thanks again.

Perhaps you can rent a storage unit for your boat?

I can store it at my dads house which has a dock on Lake Syracuse, IN. The reason I want to avoid it is that it is outside storage. I can also store in my winter storage barn(rental $Cheap but that is kuke my dad's place it is 3+ hours away. Kind of stink fro wekend use. Good idea though.

If my 11 inch drop down hitch adapter does not work then one of these maybe(should be, will be) the solution. The only issue is expense but it would be easier on the boat and me to back it in with one of these so it might be damn the cost.

I really appreciate the Idea Ragboy. Thanks much

I can't find the link, but there is also another I have seen, it basically replaces your jack and wheel, and it has a motor on it. So you don't need the dolly. If I see it I will post, its pretty cool.

I have looked at all three of them and each company has one that will probably work. The EZTUG replaces your existing Jack and wheel and motorizes the wheel. It is the lowest cost of the three and its tires are not too big. Only probem I forsee if you launch on a steep ramp with a foldable tongue trailer like I will have the motor and battery may take a dip in the lake. it sells for $695-$799 and I have no clue why. I am trying to see if I can get a refurbished unit.

Ragboy and MRMoffatt1 I appreciate the ideas and the help, As I have said if the hitch drop does not work then maybe the eztug will. There is one more dolly that is unpowered that I need to locate. Thanks a bunch for the help. My sanity is coming back. I got so POd about this I chewed out my dealer via email and let my Tige rep know I was unhappy.

                            Sounds like the EZ tug

I found the unpowered dolly at Overtons and Barts and the wheels are probably too big let alone pushing manually up hill. So much for that path. I get to take my trailer to the mfg this Saturday so I don't keep loosing time. I want it back by end of month or first week of March so if it for god no's what reason and it still does not fit I have time for phase three thoughts. At a minimum my clean Red 2000 Mustang Convertible and the Candy Corn colored tige need to fit in there in the summer. The Two Grand Cherokees and Expedition can stay on the drive.. This shoulda been easier

Again thanks for the input but none of them will work. I met with the trailer company yesterday and the hitch ball needs to be almost touching the ground if I am going to have a chance. Trailer tows like a dream empty can't wait to drop the boat on it.

The modifications to deal with the length are nothing spectacular sp I am convinced that issue can bw taken care of.
