2007 20V wieght on trailer?

I was hoping some could help me

I'm looking to buy a 20v With tower and has 5.7 340 in it. The boat has a boatmate style trailer. I need to know how much this would wiegh

Here in Austrlia there is 2 problems with US boat and trailers, The width, no trailer can be over 2500mm wide (98 1/2 inches) the other problem any trailer over 2000kgs 4400lbs has to have electric brakes.

The boat I'm looking at has surge disc brakes... this is Ok if the boat is light enough. But from the Specs the boat is about 3800lbs and the trailer is about 1000lbs. I guees when i add fuel and stuff I'm going to be well over 5000lbs.

Is this true or is the 3800lbs including the trailer??

Tige.com puts the dry weight @ 3400. Then add fuel, gear, tower, and trailer. I would say that the combined weight would be over 4400lb's.

Not too many boat trailers with electric brakes.

Dogz, the Tige' website lists the 20 V at almost 3500 lbs empty, no trailer. Hope you're able to figure out a way to get it; I just got a 22Ve this summer, and Tige' ROCKS!

Trailer - 1200 (w spare tire)

I've heard about those restrictions you mentioned Dogz. No 102" beams either right? If you do buy that boat and can't get by with the brakes on the trailer just retrofit it with the electrics. They are inexpensive to covert to. Our surges are all screwed up on our 22i's so we're converting sometime.

I had a a 20i was told by dealer in adelaide that I did not need the breakaway break system as was under 2000kg. I got it weighed and this was probably just true without tower and fuel but you always have some fuel and so was over limit and should have legally had the breakaway system. I now have a 22ve with breakaway system. Tows a lot better with electric breaks. However I am "supposed to" hang oversized load signs. The trailer is 2.5 metres and the boat does over hang but it is only 5cms each side and if you can pick it by eye good luck so the signs dont go on often.

I have the 2008 20V. I parked my boat on a scale and got the guy to weigh it for me when I first bought it. It was 5428 lbs. with almost no fuel in it and perfectly dry. As for the width, mine is exactly 102" from the outside of the fenders. It's a DHM trailer. I had a 103" worth of room in my garage to fit it in. I have 1/2" clearance on either side of the trailer.

I have 2 cars, KJ Jeep rated at 5000lbs
and a Holden Crewman Ute rated at 5500lbs..

I don't even have a car I can legaly tow the thing with!!!

Yeah in reality you really don't wanna pull it with anything less than a V8. Otherwise you'll be in danger of breaking the law not to mention a 2 hour drive to the lake will turn into a 6 hour adventure if there are any hills you have to go up.
