2001 Tige 21v Riders Edition - need advice!

I can say the same as Dog. We came out of a FourWinns 185, weighs about 2200#'s. This 4k Tige, with TAPS at 1-2, has a far flatter/softer wake then any I/O. All though, I'm only recreational skier, IMHO, it is comparable to my friends 23 Wakesetter.

I can't believe this, but I'm seeing some 2003 20v models for about the same price as the 21v. Given the choice, is there an advantage of one over the other? Looks like the 20v seats 9 and the 21v seats 11, but what about skiing and boarding? Only thing I saw was one guy having problem with porpoising on the 20v. Thoughts? Also, the 20v is/was the only v-drive boat certified for slalom? Sounds like a nice ride! So which is it? 20v or 21v??

They ued the 20V in The tigé Pro-Am For wakeboarding, ofcourse they used ballast, But any tige will put out a Good slalom or wakeboarding wake with Taps. tigés are the most verstial inboard on the market, For both recreational Skiing and boarding.

I am right with Dog, we had a 19'Tahoe, and the ski wake is no bigger behind the Tige. Most skiiers cannot believe how soft the wake is. We use our for boarding mostly though. Our 5th boat, but by far the best.

Another thing, I like the layout of the older 21v better than the newer boats, and much better than the 20. More room for people. My opinion though. I dont know the difference, but my 2000 21v is rated for 12.

21v it is. We are six already in my family, so it makes sense to go for the larger one.

With that number and the friends they will bring, you will need all the room you can get. Great way to get to know the kids friends. The hard part now will be waiting out the winter.

Great Boat

We had 475 hrs on our '01 21V in 2 1/2 years. blew an impeller once. that was the only problem we ever had. We put 250 # of sand in the bow and used 3 220# fat sacks to give a pro competition size wake. No problem with the tower either. we'd often have 10 teenagers in the boat for weight during photo sessions. Its a great family boat and a great size.

That's got to be a case of "sounds too good to be true", don't you guys think? Why not just use a "buy it now" for $9,500? If the boat is in good condition, it's worth far more. Suppose I could email the guy and check it out, but even the way the auction is set up, using images of the words instead of just plain text makes me think all is not right on this one. Any comments?

It says the item location is Wilson NC. That's about a 3 hour drive from me but the boat has OK reg #'s
