    22 ve Boat cover

i have the factory boat cover with the ratchet system. i find if it rains, water sits at the back on top of the cover and then if too heavy it leaks into the boat. This happens even when I ratchet the thing as tight as it goes.

Is anyone else having this problem.

Also, are there poles that are supposed to go under the cover?

Can you raise the front boat jack all the way up and see if that clears the water?

I found a lightweight barstool that I just tossed under the cover when I had to keep the boat outside. That eliminated the pooling, and stopped any leakage.
    Be excellent to one another.

Yes, there was supposed to be a "anti-pooling" system (a pole) for your cover.

What year is your Ve, 06 has a single pole, 07's starting coming with a double pole (1 front, 1 rear)

That's because they were worried about what you would use them for. Remember, Tige's marketing their boats as a family boat

My 07 has a single pole, it works pretty well. A few modifications to help water from collecting just behind the windshield edge and it works ok. I get a lot of water a debris from the tower support openings on the cover. Haven't quite got the perfect remedy for that yet.

As far as racheting the strap on the cover you should only have to do that when you tow with the cover on. I never rachet mine if it's just sitting in the driveway. I usually don't even clip the side buckles. Just use the pole and clip the straps to the transom tow eyes and that's all it needs.
I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

I keep my boat in a wet slip. I've noticed that my boat isn't drying out with the Tige cover. My last boat had a canvas top which allowed it to breath somewhat. I'm thinking of getting a solar powered vent fan...to force wet air out of my covered boat. I'll have to cut a hole in my cover to do this.

My boat is in a sheltered slip. I don't tow it behind a car or truck. For that matter...I don't even own anything that could tow it. Nor do I own a trailer.

So I think the vent might work well...to help dry out my boat.

Anybody have any suggestions on this tatic?

If you have power, I'd get a dehumidifier that's electric.

I have the 2007. It has the poles, but they are not great. the pressure from any amount of water makes the poles fall. Are they just supposed to balance under the cover or is there a special place they go?

That's a lot of water. Mine have ties to the cleats and with the rain running off the cover it never gets to be too heavy. I might grab a pic this weekend.

There should be a black cap on each pole with web straps that connect the front pole to the grab handles (white straps) and the rear pole to the back cleats (black straps) and one that connects the two poles.

If it were me, I'd hit Home Depot, build my own from PVC and fittings. Run it mid bow to Stern and you should be good to go.

Poles are a waste. Go build a simple a-frame out of CPVC (PVC will warp in the heat) and put it to use.
