    Surfing behind a 20V

Does anyone have any feedback on surfing behind a 20V? I'm a beginner when it comes to surfing, so will going behind a 20V be a good start or will it not be enough boat soon down the road? How does is compare to the other makes of 20 footers, ie. BU VTX, MC X-2, or the Naut 211? Is ballast necessary? Any recomendations? Thanks for the help!

We bought a brand new 07 20v this year.It has been reviewed as probably the best all round boat.If you look at the pics of our new boat by Bibbs on page 3ish of the discussion board you can see the wake that it creates for my daughter and myself. She is 110 pds and I am 230pds.We put in 1-2 fat saks on the one side and we had 2 people sitting on that side with the taps at 3.Works great.Boat is awesome for skiing.wakeboarding and wakesurfing.Hope this helps.

        Bibbs,
Where did you pick your boat up from? In Alberta or in BC. Any feed back on your dealer?

I picked mine up from hyperactive in Calgary AB.The boat came from Nevada I think. The dealer and service guy are great and I got a smokin deal on it.The dealer also gives smokin Tige discounts on accessories.

I surf a 20V...Set up factory ballasts fill front and rear on the side your surfing tapps 4-5 tops and speed about 11 till the wake cleans up then drop it down a notch ...always put a person up front it cleans the foam up...The regular foot wake has a nicer look to it then goofy. We can get a 2-3 foot wave with a nice little barrel curl with 4 on the boat and a huge wake with a full boat...
