I am still looking at this boat. Does anyone know if the floors are wood or fiberglass in a 1999 2100V? I know the front bow section of the floor is, but what about the middle and back?

The boat has wood stringers encased in fiberglass. Everything else is mostly fiberglass, with the exception of the floor above the fuel tank (middle of the cockpit) and the driver kick panel. Both are some sort of special material that does not seem to wear when constantly doused with water. My floor is still in great shape after all this time and my boat's been heavily used. Either side of the floor is super solid. The boat is built like a tank. Pretty much everything structural is over-engineered.

Thanks dogbert. The floor looked level, and sound the last time I looked at it. I was just curious on the construction material. Well I am off to look at it again, really going to dig into this time around. He did say the carpet was replaced at an interior shop that they didnt do the back storage compartments for whatever reason, but he has the left over carpet because they sold him to much.

I could see how replacing carpet in that boat would be a real PITA. I need to redo the carpet in my cockpit. The rest of it looks pretty good.

Yeh he told me the carpet was stained. With it being beige I could see that getting dirty real quick. That sounds like a month of weekends to replace the carpet everywhere! What items have you had to replace on your engine? Have you done a fuel pump or starter?

Only 2 items that are not considered normal wear and tear. I had to replace the alternator this year. It probably got too wet with all the water we've been taking on in the last 3 of years surfing. I ended up moving the bilge pump next to my rudder and it's a lot drier now so I don't expect to have too many problems with it going forward.

The other item was the fuel pressure regulator. It has a diaphram in it and it just wears out. It's a real PITA to replace because you have to remove the muffler to get the plastic cover off of the fuel cooler to get to it. My mechanic and I agreed that we were going to leave the plastic cover off because it serves no purpose.

Starter and fuel pump still going strong.

I looked at it again, but he said some of the gauges didnt work. The oil, voltage, temp, and speedo dont work. The RPM, TAPS, and depth finder do. Anyone had a similar problem? Sounds like a bad ground to me.

No power to the gauges. I bet that the 12v power is daisy chained from one gauge to the next. Should be a breaker for the gauges, may be tripped due to a short, or a loose connection at the ignition switch or the first gauge in the chain.

Actually, there are 2 inline fuses from the ignition switch. I'd say it's either one of those or the push-on connectors came loose somewhere early in the daisy chain. I know this from experience.
