Update on the resurrection of my Tige'

I thought I would give a little update. I take back everything negative I have said about Lakota Watersports. After learning more information I found the source of most of the delays was actually Tige'. In spite of Tige's unresponsiveness to calls from me and the dealer the boat looks FANTASTIC. Actually better than it did before the accident. It should be done by this Friday if Tige actually delivers the last few parts.
Let me give you a taste of the latest trickery by Tige. The dealer called tige to order new cushions for the boat. After a delay, Tige called and said they need the old seats because they do not have the forms for the cushions. This caused yet another delay of several days while the cushions were mailed. I was told they needed the cushions because they "hand make" each seat for a custom fit. Of course the charge for just the seat bottoms was between 4 to 5 grand. I looked closely at the seats yesterday admiring the nice new vinyl only to find the cheap skates actually used the same backing with the same stained brown vinyl loop to pull the cushion up. The loop is brown and nasty looking which is BS for almost 5 grand. Once I get the boat I will make sure to post a nice big picture for you to admire their work.
I am still not sure if I will keep it based on the whole experience. Time will tell.

Well, at least you are going to get the boat back.

It is sad that Tige did that and I would say it is BS on Tige. I get the idea from my dealership that they have been emailing and the email goes into a central point where it is lost for a few days. Is the customer support at Tige going downhill???? Well, I would say that it is unfortunately but I am now going on 6 weeks without the 2006 rack that was warrantied. Amazing, just simply amazing but not enough to sell my boat and get a different brand but it is hard to convince others that Tige is a brand that they want when an experience like yours and mine come around.

Tige has made no good impressions around here. There aren't many Tige's in Ohio and Kentucky that I have seen. Maybe that's the reason?

Sandmoose, You had the 24V that flipped over correct? Are they still trying to fix you boat?

That sounds like a bunch of crap to me. I find it hard to beleive in a city as big as cincy that you couldn't find a local shop to get all new seats, foam and everything. And I would be surprised if it came up that costly. You could have easily hauled the boat to the vinyl shop with all of the old stuff, and explain what you needed.
              Be excellent to one another.

I agree with Tall, sounds like somebody would have known early on that Tige would need the old ones to refirb them And I also think that an upholstery shop could have done just as good, if not better, and a lot quicker.

That's what my dealer recommended also, but mainly because in their experience, Tige didn't always keep track of the patterns for each boat model. So, I would say it's possible that they tried several times to get the factory skins and kept getting the wrong ones. A friend recently insisted as well and ended up getting ones that didn't fit.

I'd use it as an opportunity to get a custom interior

My upholstery was redone from scratch (no skins) in 3 days by one 55 year old lady with an old sewing machine. About 2/3 of it was redone for $1500.

Was she able to match your existing stuff or did she have to start over?

I have gotten so tired of trying to get tige stuff from dealer. We broke a rubber strap from WB rack, and I just emailed WakeDesigns, we orders 2 straps, got them in a couple of days.

I was concerned about the vinyl matching the seat backs. I assumed that Tige would have the pattern for their own design. I will say they did a great job on the new stuff other than the handles. I expected more for the cost $$$

Did they provide you the bungie style or the rubber style? This rubber style one sucks for tying the WB's up...
