Commercial sewing makes the factory tow cover with the Tige logos on it. You can only order it from the dealer. It is very tight but you need to put some pipe cover (foam stuff for water pipes) over the window top to prevent chaffing. I have not had any problems with the gel getting chaffed, but I know Bug has had a few small spots on his MC with the same type of cover. I think it comes down the shape of the hull and how it contacts it. If you do get a spot where is chafes then some felt or flannel under that area would fix the problem.

Rubbing compound is not recommend IMO. Used it on my boat to take some of the huge scuff marks the children left behind on my boat and you can see the swirl marks. Still applying was and some TLC to get it out still.

I used rubbing compound. Not sure how the clay bar would do. I heard that it does a good job.

i know on cars it does a great job. just not sure about the finish on the fiberglass. It's my next project on the boat, as I want it looking good and sexy again!

WW had a few people comment on the clay bar idea also. They didn't say there were any problems with it on fiberglass or gelcoat.

Look guys just rub like a mad man and it will come out. I happen to have a porter cable polisher so it is a none issue. You are all making it out to big too big of a deal. My neighbor with a Shiada (worth more used (94 boat) than our boats new) uses Mothers mag wheel cleaner first then cleaning compound then wax and only by hand. Trust me went I talk about cleaning products. My neighbor hood had 5 show cars and we all compete against each other with them. We all own boats and that is a whole another deal.

check out the car if you don't believe me.

I highly recommend the Westland Sharkskin cover. You should be able to order them for your boat.
