Here is the problem that I found and would be interesting to find out if anyone else has this issue: Only area that is insulated is under door #2 while door #1 is not insulated. Seems to be a little difficult to keep anything cold in an "ice chest" if only one half of the "ice chest" is insulated.Attached Files

Our '07 22Ve is set up exactly like da.bell's with the storage on the left (has 2 doors) and the "cooler" on the right (has one door). I have not tried to use the far right one (the "cooler") to store drinks/ice in yet. As it is now we have our braided surf rope in the far right storage.
Over Memorial Day weekend it was about 95 on the lake and when we pulled our boat out of the lake at the end of the day I opened the doors to see if there was any water in there from the ropes and I was very surprised to notice that the surf rope in the "cooler" was damp and cool. It seemed like it was pretty well insulated. I figured it would be hotter than heck but it was actually quite cool.. next time out I think I will throw some drinks/ice in there and try it out. Maybe it will actually work!If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..

I am pretty sure that all of the coolers and a few other places all drain to the transom area. I have used my coolers several times and have never had the bildge turn on, on it's own. It must take a good quantity of water in the bildge before it will turn on. I usually drain mine by taking the plug out and raising the front of the trailer to a steep angle to let it all flow out. While there is discussion about coolers, I will say that the cooler under the seat rocks, it keeps ice upwards of two days, works really well. So does the complimentray cooler bag from tige' with the boat purchase.I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

"Insulation?"
I have no insulation on any one of the 3 doors. I have used the port to center compartment as a cooler and it worked, ok. Ice didn't last long and I didn't use anything to plug up the drain, so it worked fair. I now use only the one under the seat. I am surprized to hear that there is insulation on one of the doors. I have nothing like that.I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

Unless I misunderstood.. I think what da.bell and I were talking about is insulation around the starboard side "cooler". On the inside though not on the door. None of the doors have any insulation but I think that around the box might.
And you said you used the port to center compartment as a cooler once.. those aren't supposed to be used as coolers.. those are for storage. Only the starboard side one is a cooler from what I've heard and what the dealer told me. I've heard that the starboard one actually works pretty well as a cooler. If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..

The bin that you are talking about is not the one that is insulated on my boat.
