    I need a tower

I have a 1997 2200 v and I have been looking for a tower to put on my boat. I have searched all over the internet with out any luck. I do not want a universal tower. I want a high quality tower that will look good on my boat. The age and bow dimensions have caused me trouble in finding a tower. Any sugestions would be helpful.

I'd research the sampson sports or xplosion towers. They both look good.

There are several owners with both types of towers on here so you will get feedback.

Will it fit? Can you send a pic to tige122003@yahoo.com. Let me know if there are any flaws with this tower. Why do you want to get rid of it?

I replaced the tower with a Wake Designs tower 2 years back. Sold this boat last December so I dont need it. I suggest looking in the gallery section for pictures of boats for that year. It is also known as the "K" tower due to the bar configuation. If I can find a picture of it on the boat, I will send it later.

look at monster towers under the tige gallery. I hear good things about their tower and think they give a simple and clean look.

Xplosion or Samson. My pick would be the Xplosion. Beautiful looking towers.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

My guess is that it will not fit your model due to the width on the 2300V. Not worth the time to cut it down either.
Check Wake Designs, I was very satisfied with ours.

Phat Budde makes the best looking towers for the old style Tige's, and they have a jig made for them already as well. If you order in the off season you will get free shipping, and he can ship it unpowdercoated saving you another $250...My quote was $2200...I decided the cost wasn't worth it and went with a monster. I know you said you do not want a universal, bt Monsters look really good, and most times pictures do not do them justice. Also note they are not universal once installed....they lock down and cannot be transferred to another boat with different beam. I got my tower, racks, and bimini for $1800 from Monster. Same from PhatBudde was near the $3000 mark. One more note, your boat was not intended to have a tower on it, and where the tower mounts is just under 1/2" thick fiberglass. The Monster had the best designed jointing system (Heim joints and swivels....just like a 4-link on a hot rod) in place that will prevent the stress of the rider from being placed on the thin fiberglass. That was another factor in my tower search. I did not want spider webbing coming out from the feet on my tower. I also think the look of the newer towers, like the xplosions and others clashes with the classic Tige hulls. I had my search narrowed to Phat Budde, Skylon Swoop XT?, Monster, and Titan II.

Thanks spharis for the photos. You have been a huge help. My concern with some of the towers being sold is creating spider webs in the fiberglass. Even though my boat is a 1997 its in new condition. I baby this boat. I like the first pic and the pic with the red tower. What are the names of the towers in those two pics?
