My 2006 22VE has become impossible to steer after only 71 hours. I have been told my steering cable needs to be replaced. I have been told this is a common problem. Anyone else experice this?

Ahhh I see well if you wanted to save yourself the $530 you probably could do it yourself. You have a V drive so access to the rudder is a little easier than an I. Its fairly simple just pull out the old pull in the new. Could take maybe 30min to an hour.Common Sense is not so Common

I don't know if changing it on a VE requires pulling the fuel tank out of the way, if so, that's why it takes so long. It probably isn't all that difficult, but it does require poking around in deep dark spaces in your boat.
Maybe Lee will chime in here and help."I want to know God's thoughts, the rest are just details"

If you ever need a job come to Nashville. Only on a 22i have we ever done one in one hour.
