    22V Vz 24V/VE for Wakesurfing

I've been shopping and wonder if anyone has input on wether the 22V provides enough wake for a decent surf experience. Been on the 24V and know that it's the daddy of wakesurfing. What about the 22v? Does the extra size and weight make a huge difference for this.

    Thanks!

You can still get a great surf wake out of the 22v, weight it down and you will be suprised!!

I think they are very similar. The 24v takes more weight to sink down obviously, but they are very similar.

We did a 10 person boat change over from our 22v to a 24v last summer (no water ballast in either) and I don't think there was more than a couple inches in wake height. A couple people commented that they thought the "pocket" was longer on the 24v, but I personally didn't notice much difference.

One thing that did help both boats was a slight turn to the direction of the rider, like a real long turn. Cleaned up the face a lot.

      Hope that helps.

*Just to clarify, we started with 10 peeps in my boat, 22v, rode awhile, then the same 10 peeps all moved to a 24v, and we compared.

IMO, the surf wake on the 22v is perfect.

we went for a demo day on one of our southern lakes and one guy(who was looking for a surf boat) came on with us had just demoed the centurion enzo(made for surfing) and he chose to buy the 22ve in seconds just by looking at the wake

Yeah, just take a look at my gallery and you'll see my son surfing behind one of the very first 22 Ve. No ballast, just the guys on the back of the boat. My son was 5'2" and we got a waist high endless curl that he had a blast with.
