On my switch 20i the heater had a vent that had an extendable heater hose that you coulf pull out to put under a towel etc.

My 07 22ve has a factory heater craft like the picture Lee posted. Is there an after market option to get an extendable hose?

the hose that expands out is great!! A windscreen is going to make a huge diff too I'm sure.

Your 07 has the pull out hose already, it is in the walkway.

you are correct thankyou. Gave the connection in walkway a stronger pull and out popped the extender hose. The local dealers are new and did not think it came out.

Will be a while before I use 105 degrees today.

          Thankyou

I think the heater (with the extender hose) is my wife's favorite part of the boat. Kids love it too -- they congregate under a towel with the heater hose when it gets anywhere below 80.

Windscreen can make a huge difference on cold mornings as well.

Where do you install the heater core, and how do you pipe each of the 2 or 3 outlets to where you want to go. Do the boats come pre-plumbed for heaters?

The one Tige i've been in (05) had the core mounted in the drivers storage console. One heater duct came through the walkway w/ about an 8' hose and the other came out under the dash.

You can get the duct hose in 50' bulk and heater hose by the foot, so you could mount the core anywhere you wanted and run the ducts to where ever.

The pull out heater pipe is by Heater Craft and called a Hot Tube. Found them for $37.49 at fisheriessupply.com. They have the Euro vents, too, white or black, for $13.67. The same page in JC Whitney's catalog has a Northern Factory 3 port heater for $230 and coupled with the $40 off coupon inside the cover brings it to $190 plus shipping (use code DJGN715, expires Feb 28,2007). It uses 5/8" hose fittings and 3" ducts. I'm going to put this unit in the compartment under the dash. One duct will be for the left side, one for the right and one for under the dash. I think the hardest part of the install is going to be when I actually have to bore holes in the panels, kind of like boring that 2" hole in bottom of the boat for the Perfect Pass paddle wheel.

No thanks....I think I'd rather go snowboarding in that weather. I guess they wouldn't call it winterizing there....probably just refer to winterizing as parking the boat.
