    What's the difference

What is the difference between the V and Ve models??

    Thanks

Here are a couple of pics of my Ve

pic 1 shows the "notched" transom. Makes it real easy to sit down and put on board/ski

Pic 2 shows the 3 storage compartments. the 2 w/doors open is one compartment and the 3rd is seperated. these are great for tow ropes/gloves/boot lube or as a small cooler when at the sandbar etc.
The Ve also has the walk-trough w/ fillercushion

Nice color combination. I believe 06 was the last year of the V and the first year of the Ve as I have seen some 06 24V's for sale.

Don't forget the obvious difference, the "e".

Alright funny guys.....I was looking for something more substantial than 4k, the "E", I know that the transom is different but is there anything else that makes it a Ve?

We looked at an 05 V and an 06 Ve, I dont remember there being any differance in the interiors of these boats. Also, I think that they are almost identical from the waterline to the keel. The only diff may be in options from 05 to 06, but an 06 V and a Ve should have the same options ?

Thanks, that's what I thought but wasn't sure.

The 22ve is 4" longer and I understood had an increase in the hook in the hull. Also as well as the transom change the engine compartment has been squeezed to give more cockpit room. This however does mean the ski pole does not bolt to the bearers.

the new transom certainly makes it much easier to put your board on.

There is quite a bit of difference in a v and a ve. The hull has more rocker in it not more hook, increased angle in the strut for less prop noise, transom, deck, interior peices, dashboards are way different, windshields, towers, bow is deeper.

                        Sparky,

I think the e's have some more options in the transom for different ballast. I talked to Damion at the boat show about this.

Are you looking at one of their 06's or an 07? I like the dash and glove box on the 06 better.

Could you explain the rocker/hook, not sure what that means? I'm not as well versed in the designs/mechanics of boats as I would like to be. Thanks Lee

Hook in the hull is a downward turn in the rear portion of the hull creating lift.

Rocker would be in upward turn in the hull, sorta like a rocking chair.

Hook would create quicker planing and smaller wakes, increased rocker would result in slower planing and larger wakes. That is why TAPS2 works the way it does.
