have 4 blade prop for boarding and surfing. mechanic suggested after test driving for a problem he fixed that im losing about 25% top end with 4 blade and try 3 blade since probably size on boat when new, which should allow boat full rpms and speed. i bought used in 2016. what do you think about 3 blade prop and top end? thanks.

There are a few things we need to know.
1) black 1:1 v-drive or blue 1.46:1 v-drive?
2) what is Dia and Pitch of the 4 blade, IF you have the blue 1.46:1. Moot point if its the black 1:1. A 4-blade might be the right choice, you might just have a less then ideal 4-blade if you wan to go fast.
3) Lake elevation.
if the boat also didnt reach WOT RPM, then it does sound like the wheel is too big. and since appears you also deal in sound systems, boat has 3 amps with sub woofers and 12 speakers mounted in a custom made box attached to top of rack in addition to speakers that came with the boat installed in hull. experiencing distortion in sub woofers and am inspecting each speaker and so far found 3 with loose electrical connections. fixed them and distortion reduced but not eliminated. have to pull hull speakers yet. also havent fully inspected all the cable connections. think im on the right track so far to eliminate distortion? location is lake anna in central va.Comment
