In my search for my next Tige, I have found a used 2006 24V that looks pretty good. However, the local dealer wants me to buy his last 2006 24VE. Are there that many differences between the 24V and the 24VE that would cause me to pass up a great deal on a low hour 24V?

You get a little more seating space in the VE but that is because they took a little bit of storage space in the back. It also took a little bit of the room away from the engine compartment so engine access is a little tighter. The windshield sweeps back further along the sides on the VE, the hull has a little more rocker also. I like the little compartments across the transom on the VE, but I like the overall shape of the V transom . I've heard the center compartment on the transom of the VE makes it rather difficult to service certain items on the engine. The front seats lift differently because on the V it is one long seat and seat back piece and on the VE it is a shorter piece that lifts up and is gas assisted. I think gas struts can be added to the V, but have not tried that on mine yet. Overall they are quite similar and I agree that a good deal on a low hours V verses a VE would be difficult for me to pass up. Let us know what you end up with.

What power plant is in there? If it has the factory ballast set-up take a good look at all the ballast pumps. Three of mine had to be replaced under warranty because where the outlet hose goes onto a barbed fitting on the pump body was cracked, I kept filling my bilge instead of the tanks. Other than that I have thoroughly enjoyed the boat.

Yeah, wakeboard pro. It was quite easy actually, about 4 hours. The biggest thing to get over is drilling a 2-inch hole in the bottom of my week old boat. It was also difficult to figure out where to put the control head as I did not want to eliminate my tach or speedo since I have the ones with the depth and water temp in them. Then cutting a hole in the dash was a little difficult to get over as well. The perfect pass instructions were quite clear to follow. I did not like that they wanted me to install the servo on my water hose so I installed it on the backside of the wall that makes my rear compartments. I would be glad to snap some photos if you would like and detail what is being looked at. I put the paddlewheel hole opposite the water pick-up so that way I knew it would not interfere with my trailer bunks or a lift if I ever get my dream house on the water with the two story boat garage/party pad.

We looked at an 05 22v with the 380hp scorpion and factory ballast, and an 06 22Ve w/ the 340hp and no ballast. We took the Ve because we wanted the walk-through transom, I also liked the look of the Ve transom. The transom storage is great: ropes, gloves, soap, ice, bear, empties, etc. The Ve has accu-set and it is great, cruise is a must! Ballast is in the future, and I also like the Rival. Just some thoughts on what we were looking for.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
