You’re missing out man. I never grunt or hoot or holler on a surfboard or wakeboard like I do on the ski. It’s such a power and speed thing. When you have it going and you’re on rails it’s a bitchin rush. The acceleration through the wakes and deceleration into that perfect turn linking the two, it’s a zen place. You feel like Superman after a rippin’ set. It’s neat.

I hear you on the wake boarding. I got tired of breaking myself in two. I’ve got a shoulder issue that doesn’t really agree with awkward wakeboard landings. I don’t have any invert game anyways. I’ll jump on it once or twice a year just to do it but, I just don’t care anymore. I’ve got nice wakeboard wakes too. They might be the nicest wake I have.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Search out some of surfdad's old posts. He had a 2300 v and had it dialed. Son was pro IIRC.

We love our 2300v. Great wave for the money. Surfdad was my inspiration, and that was before surf gates. Never been behind a Calabria though.

can you face the observer seat backwards seems like you lose a lot of space with that seat over there how do you utilize the space im having a hard time with this one cause its a good deal wish i knew how many hours were on it hes sending me some pics of the interior that should tell me little more about the care of the boat i know he hit something and that kinda worries me new prop, shaft, strut anyway this is 10 hours from me hard to find a good deal in UT

Forgot to ask what about gauges for 2300v says they’re finicky electrical issue? How much are replacements

The observer seat was originally a negative for me when I first saw it.... but, now its proven to be everyone's favorite seat in the boat. Yes, it can be faced rearward for an observer. Behind it you can store all manner of things. The 2003 23v came with a traditional wrap around layout. There was a member changing over to this layout around last season as I recall. I've had virtually zero issues with my electrical, or anything really. Do watch out for the taps switch on the throttle as the wires to it like to break. Mine has been relocated to the dash to avoid this. As for the gauges in the one you mentioned, my 2001 has an hour meter on the gauge. However, that is a different dash layout than mine so likely has different gauges.

Sorry man. Totally missed this. I’ve always wanted to get a 2300v and convert the observers seat to a normal observers seat arrangement. There was a guy doing just that on here until he dropped off the face of the earth. Surfdad, aka Jeff Walker, had one long ago. His son, James Walker, became one the the most dominant wakesurfers the sport has ever known. One of the main reasons he ended up riding for Supreme was because (oversimplification here) it reminded him of the old 2300v wake. I’ve ridden his Supreme several times while they had it and it was very much like a 21v wake which translates to the 2300v. They’ve always been on my shortlist of boats I have wanted.

That one looks pretty nice. It’s definitely got the right tower on it. Those things run about 4K. The only thing that concerns me is the new shaft, strut, and prop. Why was that necessary? No hour meter? That seems basically impossible. I thinks it’s part of the all in one gauge (can’t remember what it’s called at the moment, Faria Commander?) Gauges are easy to replace. The interior is something you could run for a season and see if you like it. You could convert it over a winter if you don’t.

I don’t know much about Calabria besides the fact they are a small builder out of California.

A little help on this I don’t know much about perfect pass I’m guessing that there’s an electrical problem I’m pretty good at fixing things “knock on wood” anyway this is the message he sent me any opinion appreciated
                            Sorry. I forgot to answer.
No. Perfect pass does not work. There are 2 speedo wheels on the boat. One, I believe, is for perfect pass. Anyway. You’ll need to get the gauges looked at, then call perfect pass and let them know the setup. They will tell you what you need and you can have a shop update the boat to the new GPS perfect pass system.

I’m sure one paddle wheel is for the speedo and one is for the PP. I would definitely switch to a GPS unit and get rid of both paddle wheels.

The bigger issue is...MOOMBA?! Hand me down Supras. Yuk.
