Just bought a new to me 2008 Tige Z1. I took it out on the water this weekend and we had a blast! It runs great! My question is I seem to be taking on water at low speed. It looks like it is coming from the drive shaft or prop shaft. Is that normal/ is there a seal that needs to be replaced? Or is it from something else? and for all the jokesters yes I had my drain plug in and had to use my bilge pump every 30 min or so.

I had a similar issue on my 2010 Z1 this summer.
First I suspected the fin that was changed during the winter , then the underwater light on the bilge drain plug or the shaft seal. It was none of these.
The water pump impeler was changed during the winter and the waterpump gasket was not properly installed, so water was leaking inside.
Almost 100L in an afternoon !
The gasket was changed and then everything was OK.
hope this helps.

I would definitely agree with Jetdriver... This happened to mine a few years back... I was able to adjust the coupler with some Allen heads and compress the seal a little bit to save the weekend but I eventually upgraded the dripless system as mine was not... Depending on your model you can possibly do it yourself... however, my boat had been exposed to so much salt water that I had to take it in as I didn't have all the tools to get the shaft out effectively. Best of luck and let us know what you find.
