2 beeps and stalls in idle - bad IAC?

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me!

I have 2002 21V limited - I was out on the lake and was low on gas 1/4 tank, maybe a little less. Idled into the dock and it dies and wouldn't really restart, sounded like I was out of gas. Added fuel, started fine but got 2 beeps every minute on the dot. Raced back to my dock and it ran fine, idled into my dock and it dies. Added more gas but it starts a little rough now and I'm still getting the 2 beeps. I don't have a code reader or a dealer close by. Thoughts?

    Thanks!!

2 beeps means a sensor is not responding correctly. If you can add throttle and it starts and stays running, it's USUALLY the IAC however the MAP sensor may also be causing the alarm. IAC is easy just not cheap, Mercruiser part is #803149 and $136 but there's several other sensors it could be as well, including fuel pressure. Best bet to get it scanned so you're not guessing.

You can get a code reader for $75 or make your own for almost nothing. Just try a search online for DIY MEFI code reader.
