New to me 21v!

Good evening folks.

Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as i assume i'll have plenty of questions in the future!

Picked up a 2000 Tige 21v riders edition today. Coming from a 2005 bayliner 175 with a 3.0. Took it for a quick spin, everything sounded great, ran great, felt great. The only issue i saw was the boat revved up to almost 6000 rpms under wot. From the research i've done, seems like we sould top out just shy of 5k.

Boat still has the metcrap tower... no cracks and seems to be solid. I'll keep an eye on it. Fortunately it has the 5.7 330hp. Good lord this thing has power and sounds like a race car.

Welcome to the site! Looks like you found a great boat.
It sounds like you have already done your homework since you already know about the tower.
You might need a different prop since your WOT RPMs are so high. Call ACME Propellers and they will help you get the best one based on your planned use.

One more thing folks... i've read through about a dozen threads... there is a tower for this boat that cost right at $1000 WITH the bimini that bolts to the factory holes.

Anyone have an idea which tower it is? It's driving me nuts that i can't find it.

Welcome and congrats! I have a 2001 2100v Limited (Riders Edition basically)... I love the boat.. I continue to impress people with the surf wave. Mission Delta is the way to go (or a similar Suck Gate device)...Easy to plumb ballast... Add some underwater lights, etc. I still have the old tower but will upgrade in the next few years if I still have this boat... One since 2009 and might be time for an upgrade eventually... Hard to fork 70-100K over for a new one though...Congrats again! Enjoy the no winterization! Lucky!

I have that one and it works great. Look at ordering directly from the manufacturer. I think I got it for $199 shipped from them.

Well good news, took the boat out yesterday. Ran great. RPMS never pushed 5k. Must have misread last time out. Boat ran great. 44mph at 5k rpms.

Just sent Uncle Sam just over $1000 for a little sticker today... going to have to keep the metcraft for a bit. Hoping to have the wife trained up this weekend and be wakeboarding by Sunday.

Nice Boat! I have a 99 and love it. I am really glad to see that yout RPM's aren't jumping up to 6k. I still have the metcrap tower, but will be putting on an Indy tower this fall. I replaced the original carpet with SeaDek in the spring (some people swear by Deckadence flooring, but either way >17 year old carpet is bad news... I have started to replace fuel injectors, mine only have 400 hours on them, but they have slowly started to fail.

This boat has new carpet and it looks fantastic! I am a huge fan of seadek but boy are they proud of their work.

Now a downfall... yesterday when I was loading up the alarm went off... I thought it was my depth gauge so I didn't pay it much mind. Today while playing with the boat I set the depth gauge off while sitting... not the alarm from yesterday. So I dug deaper. Trans fluid is milky pink. I'm going to drain it tomorrow. Need help on this. Plan on running it with good oil and see if it happens again.

Anyone have a how to on trans flush.

By the way, blue v drive. I need a prop.

Awesome ride. I just became a Tige owner (1 month ago) of a 2000 2100V Limited so our boats are very similar! I've already added perfect pass and currently installing the MTK tower. This winter I am tackling the automated ballast system install. I am still working on the perfect setup for surfing so please share your setup if you get it figured out.
