    2006 24VE steering

Just bought a 2006 24ve and noticed the boat does not reverse left. When I crank the wheel all the way to the left and put it in reverse the boat will only go right making it hard to maneuver in tight situations. This is my first inboard v drive boat that I have owned so I don't know if this is normal or not. I noticed the rudder has a slight curve in it so I thought that might be it. Anyone have any insight or experienced the same thing?

You are correct, inboard boats to not turn in reverse but will always go back and right due to prop rotation. It takes a little time to get use to but when you get really comfortable with it you can spin the boat in place and they are much more maneuverable then outboards.

Welcome to the world of inboard reversing. You will get use to it and use it to you advantage. Forward "bumps" in the throttle help to get things lined up when trying to maneuver. There are some great tutorial videos out there can help.

If you spend any time at Apache lake I would be happy to help get your boat set up
