oh- re: dogs in the boat...

My brother ordered some booties for my mom's black lab... because I felt so guilty making the dog sit on the dock when we went out. Now, I can take the whole family out in the boat and not leave anyone behind! Funny thing is that the dog doesnt mind wearing them.

Aren't you worried about getting that wet dog smell in your carpet? I had a black lab that used to go out in our old boat and I had to have the carpets steam cleaned regularly to get rid of all the dog hair and smell.

nah... I just dunk the bow once or twice. it washes the beer and dog smell out!

kidding. She's only half lab, so she doesnt have that oily coat that labs tend to have. Oddly enough I dont have to wash it out, outside of the normal water coming in the boat, and going out the bilge.

That good. We used to have to lock up the lab or he'd come swimming after us. One time he got out and we found him a mile from shore...swimming after us.
