    You might want to check your impeller as well. If you sucked up debris, it probably caused some damage to the impeller. Your boat might run fine for a little while, but then break down later. I've had that happen to me so I ended up just changing it out to be safe. Replace the impeller every 2 years no matter what.

      I replace my impeller every year. But then again the lake I use it at is very dirty, so I figure it doesn't hurt.

        I replace every year also. The one year I did not change it was a nice call to vessel assist for a tow.

          You don't have to replace them every year IF you take them out during the storage months and don't make it sit there all bent. But IMO I'd rather have peace of mind that it's brand new for a whole season. plus it's only 30 bucks. That's cheap for boat maintance
