Hull and blistering

Has anyone kept their boat in water for a long period of time? (more than 2 weeks.) We have been told this could cause blistering of the hull. We keep our boat at the dock at our lake house and are concerned about this. Any ideas? We are looking into a lift.

While I have never heard of a Tige having this issue, Osmosis blistering can be a problem if you leave your boat in the water.

To me, its not worth the risk, because it can be very expensive to fix.
