    ANOTHER PSS issues

    Hey all,

First trip on the new to me 06 24Ve started great ended horribly. Was running around the lake enjoying being a new Tige owner...... life was good. Loaded it down for surfing and life was even better, surfed for about an hour or so, I went to go to the end of the lake Boat was spitting, sputtering and cavitating, opened the bilge to find it full of water. I drained it out run it up again, all seeemed fine but I could see the water shooting out of the PSS between the collar and boot. I limped it in to keep the spray to a minimum, got home and marked the spot the shaft and compressed it 3/4". But there is still some wiggle in the boot, and I can separate the boot from the collar still with a little bit of force. What is the spec on this, or is trial and error, don't want to destroy any bearings before my big trip in a few weeks. I know they're supposed to drip a little, but my last boat I had the water injected PSS installed so no drop on that, do they drip at idle speed or only under load? I really need this figured out and fixed ASAP! I read all the PSS related threads but nothing was specific unless I missed one other than I am not the first one to have this issue.

After fixing the PSS leak check into the auto bilge. Brown wire funds that should connect directly to one of the batteries.

yea that was the other thing, my bilge pump has power and is turning but not pumping water. I will have to look into that problem as well.
