replaceing strut bearing

ill makes this real fast. can somebody please tell me the best way how to replace the strut bearing in a 99 21v riders. i dont have a dealer to take it to and i think this is going to be a real pain in the butt. my ruder is inline with the shaft. i was told that you have to pull the shaft and cut the bearing out. do they not make a tool that will press it out with out pulling the shaft .please help
