    Taps pump 2001 21v

Hi all just checking in to see if anyone can tell me where I can get the pump for my taps . I've checked everything front to back and I have full power to the pump but it dosnt seem to do anything. I have a 2001 21v do I have to replace it or can I fix it, if not where is best place to get one or does anyone know the model number. I live in Vancouver Canada , I'm not sure what I would do without the knowledge that comes from this site I've learned so much about my boat from reading through this forum it really helps to have a group of people who know and love there Tiges. Happy boating !

I'm not sure of the exact results but if the motor had failed its resistance would be very high when measure with a multimeter. Bennett marine made them though tige used a custom single pump unit. The standard twin pump would no doubt work fine too.

I wonder if Bennett would sell just the pump to you.

Would this lack of motor cause my boat to bounce as if I'm in waves even though I'm in smooth water . I took boat out today and at 3500 rpm the boat was jumping around even though conditions where smooth?

Could be too much weight in the rear and not enough in the front.

I'm running with no added weight would the lack of taps working cause it .? Dosnt seem right it a pretty smooth up, and down motion but on smooth water and only at say 3500rpm plus

Yes. The TAPS will force the bow down to stop the porpoising.

exactly. if the TAPS motor can not lower the plate, the boat can porpoise at speed.

I had the exact same issue, boat was porpoising badly. Found out that the taps was broken on my first water test after purchasing, proceeded to replace the pump, seals in the rams and the ram with the sending unit to the gauge. Everything works like new now, although it was a hassle. Good luck on yours. Bennett is super helpful and great to work with.
