Hello everyone,
Im looking for my first boat. I've done hours and hours of research and have come to the conclusion that a Tige 22v would be a perfect boat for me.
Some background: I would use the boat mostly for surfing, probably 50% surfing, 30% wake boarding, and 20% everything else (tubing, skiing, kneeboarding). My budget is in the 25k to 35k range, which I think would put me in the 2004-2007 range. I want the 22v or 24v hull, and not the 21v and 23v hull.
So my question is that I've come across a few really great deals for a Tige 20v. There isn't a whole lot of information that I've found comparing the two boats. From the research I've done the 20v is great for a 20 foot boat, but I'm wondering if a 22 foot boat would serve my needs better. How would the surf and wakeboard wakes compare to the 22v? is there a difference in fuel economy or is it too close to worry about? I realize the best thing to do is take them for test rides, but I live in southern Alberta, and there isn't too many boats to choose from here. I am willing to travel, but want to do the research first so I make the trip worth while. Im half expecting everyone to tell me to pay a little more for the 22v, but I haven't ridden in either so I guess I'm just looking for your opinions.
Lastly, what is a good price range for a 2004-2006 22v? For a boat with 250-250 hours it seems like it is ranging from 29k to 35k. Is this low/high? The top of my range is 35k, but If I could keep it to 30k the wife would be happier
Thanks,
Brennen
