Alright so my parents bought a 05 21i thinking it would be a good wakeboarding/slalmoning boat. Turns out they hate this boat now and we are looking at a v drive I went out on a 22ve and I like the boat ALOT but I was out boarding with my buddies and my parents were wondering what the wake is like behind this boat for skiing? there not like hardcore skiers but there pretty into. So I was wondering if anyone has skied behind this boat and could tell me what its like?

We have a 22Ve and slalom a lot, as well as board. When we test drove the 22V last summer the wake looked a lot better and narrower than our I/O. Wake size for skiing was a big issue for us when looking to replace the I/O. The 22Ve wake at 30-32 MPH is much narrower, smaller and softer than our Chaparral wake and as a result we're doing the best skiing of our lives.
Is the wake as small as it could be if we bought a direct drive Mastercraft or Nautique? Obviously not, and the 22Ve has many more of the amenities we were looking for. Therefore, for us its been ideal. It is, however, a balance. We're very happy with our decision.
